There is no class notes as such for this week, as the whole class was spent considering and discussing the Articles of War which every Salvation Army Soldier must sign. However, with the Web in mind I have prepared, and added to, what was originally a sermon on the subject. It will be found a bit too much for these classes, but I include a link to it anyway.
They first and foremost contain our doctrines, founded on the Scriptures, and then a number of dedicatory promises. The doctrines have been pretty well dealt with as we have gone through the classes. The promises are considered in the sermon below.
It is a document which is made up of very solemn vows which when signed, constitute a depth of commitment not normally found in nominal church membership.
